One of the happiest pieces of technology I’ve seen is Skylight. It’s a digital picture frame that allows friends and families to email pictures to loved ones who may not have any other devices. My dad is close to 90. We lost my mom, his beloved wife of close to 75 years, the fall before Covid. Since he lives in an assisted living facility and is not a tech wiz (ATMs are too much for him), our family worried about how we could keep him from being too lonely. Then we found Skylight and it was a game changer! He gets new pictures from all over the country every day and all he has to do is sit in his comfy chair and watch the pictures go. He can even press the little heart on the screen to let people know he liked a picture they sent. In a world where technology is often thought of as a cause of our division, this wonderful device brings us closer to him even if we live far away.
