I’m The Problem It’s Me

Happy 2024!

Ok, you know how I said no one HAS to be all behind and stressed out at holidays? While I still believe that is true – that was not the case for me this year! Our family has one birthday on Halloween, another exactly one week later, another mid-December and then one 2 days after Christmas.  Not to mention Halloween itself, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s. So basically 4th quarter is one big (nonstop) celebration. Which is amazing!

AND

It’s also super exhausting as the mom trying to make sure everyone gets to celebrate all the holidays while still feeling special on THEIR big day. Packages to track, gifts to order, cake – do you want cake, do you want a pie, do you want cupcakes? Also “sorry guys but you have to decide early if you want to go out on your birthday because everyone else is celebrating the holidays so things book up fast”. And of course not everyone lives in the same state so there’s a bit of travel navigation for a little more challenge. You get it.

So here we are January 2 and the last post was Dec. 21! Yep I dropped the ball (unsurprising if you know me personally – to be delved into later), and it’s all good and we’ll get back on track here and don’t even worry!

The unfortunate thing is that there was some wonderful content that didn’t get posted at the appropriate time. LM has some wonderful ideas, thoughts, and perspectives surrounding the holidays! So even though a lot of people have packed Christmas away and are blazing forward into the new calendar year, we are going to pause and stay in the holiday spirit for just a little bit longer.

We’ll be catching up on all the posts this week (look for a new one tomorrow called “Where Are You Christmas” – it is a beautiful read with a very sincere and heartfelt welcome to everyone here).

Thursday, come back for “Dec. 22 – Oh What Fun” and we’ll finish playing catch up on Friday with “Christmas Eve Eve”!

Just because I’m behind doesn’t mean you can’t join in the fun though – leave us stories or comments or questions and be a part of this community of fun and love. Or just enjoy and maybe take this chance to look back on YOUR holiday – do any of our stories ring true for you too? We are all here to learn from and celebrate each other – and we hope to get to know YOU!

Much health, happiness and peace to all of you in 2024!
